College enrollment continues to grow and their buying power has exploded to over $46 billion annually.
Earlier this year, a survey of 18-34-year-old college students and recent grads found that online advertising does indeed motivate them to make a purchase, and that the age group spends a significant amount of time online conducting research before purchasing - and when they do purchase, it's tends to be online, with 98 percent of college students saying they have made a purchase of a product or service online.

Recent statistics indicate the U.S. pizza business earns more than $33 billion per year in sales. College students intake large quantities of pizza, making it possibly their single most-consumed food product.
A review of demographics and related industry statistics indicates:
- College students are developing brand preferences
- College students spend $7 billion annually on pizza and beer.
- A majority of college students consume pizza three to four times a month.
- Food is the second highest consumer expenditure for college students.
A central finding of a study found that adding a promotional product to the media mix generated favorable attitudes towards an add in all cases (up to 44%). In some cases, the use of a promotional product as the sole advertising medium achieved mazimum impact.

Before downloading their free premium, they can be required to enter their name or email address. This is an invaluable way for you to build your database and email marketing strategies.
BANKS - Entice students to open a Line of Credit or Checking/Savings Account. Offer a Photo Print Card to take photos of their beginning college memories. Why not a music download card or ringtone promotion to reach the target audience. |
